Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your father, to my God and your God.'”
I have been studying this story in John for well over a week now, and this morning I finally felt the pieces all fall together. As a woman who always struggles with my identity within the kingdom, this story sheds new light on my situation. I have been told for years that a woman’s place in the church is one of quiet support.
